Strawberry Sensation Dessert

Fresh strawberries marinaded in pink champagne, topping a layer of creamy pineapple flavoured quark.

Method

First marinade sliced English strawberries for a couple of hours in pink champagne. You could treat yourself to a glass as you pop them into the fridge, just to get in a royal summer mood. Please only use English strawberries, at their flavoursome summer best.

Mix some quark soft cheese with a teaspoon of pineapple juice and spread it on a tasty Ryvita fruit cruch cracker. (Go on, nibble a couple as you are doing this, I bet you won;t be able to stop youself!)

Drain the strawberry slices and arrange on the creamy quark layer. For the finishing touch add just the teeniest weeniest bit of black freshly ground pepper. Yes - black pepper. Don;t ask me why but somehow it works!
