The Royal Box!

A royal Ryvita treasure chest filled to the brim with Great British treats and topped off with a sweet, fruity lid for afters - a separate compartment of smoked salmon pâté makes this perfect for royals that crunch!

Ingredients

  • RYVITA® Original Crispbread
  • 100g Smoked Salmon Pâté
  • Selection of fresh, colourful garden/salad vegetables eg. cherry tomatoes, cucumber sticks, celery sticks, baby carrots, radishe
  • Cheddar cheese (cut into sticks)
  • 100g Cream Cheese
  • Shredded Iceberg Lettuce
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Clotted Cream

Method

Assemble the Ryvita chest using 1 crispbread for the base, 2 crispbreads for the sides and carefully cut 2 crispbreads down to size for the smaller ends; fix the box together using a small amount of cream cheese around the edges of the crispbread - it works like a tasty glue! Using one of the discarded pieces of crispbread you cut off earlier, make a small compartment across one of the inside corners and fill with the smoked salmon pâté. Put a layer of iceberg lettuce in the bottom of the box then fill to the top with the vegetables. For the dessert lid, load a slice of crispbread with clotted cream and arrange strips of strawberries and blueberries in the design of the Union Jack. Place the lid on top so your diners have a lovely surprise when they open the chest! Now dig in! Perfect for a Royal street party, a summer picnic or just to tuck into in front of the TV as Wills & Kate tie the knot....and the best bit? Everything is edible so there's no washing up afterwards!
